INTRODUCTION.
As a Gynecologist, I am a specialist in the
medical and surgical treatment of problems related to the female reproductive
organs. Although I limit my practice to this specialty, I have been
trained in all aspects of medicine, and can interpret the effects
of other diseases on my patients. As my practice is limited to gynecology
and infertility, we will be doing a thorough wellwoman exam, which
might include a urinalysis to detect bladder infections or diabetes,
a blood count to rule out anemia, a screening test for colon cancer,
and scheduling of routine mammograms. We will concentrate on contraceptive
needs, perimenopausal and menopausal concerns. We also address such
problems as fibrocystic breast disease, elevated blood pressure, prementstrual
syndrome, depression and menstrual migraines, and will refer to appropriate
specialists for serious medical problems, gynecological cancers, or
cosmetic surgery. My surgical expertise includes diagnostic surgery
such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, as well as treatment for such
conditions as uterine fibroids, uterine prolapse, abnormal vaginal
bleeding, endometriosis, infertility, chronic pelvic pain, and abnormal
pap smears. We also conduct basic infertility testing, and refer to
specialists if invitro fertilization or donor insemination is recommended.
Our goal is to serve your well-woman needs as well as any gynecological
problems. The purpose of this brochure is to give you as much information
as possible and to anticipate your questions and needs regarding your
visit. |
